sairaam ,

First of all sai kumar mahadevan ,

you are very blessed to have ben Swami's student .

and

still continuing to tell us many many incidences

about Swami , esp with students.

This group is very much energised by your mails .

***********************

sairam .

The saying of Swami mailed below is very very

enlightenning .

Birds need 2 wings . But the most important point here

is both the wings cannot operate seperately , cannot be

of different weight or intensity and power .

Same also . When Swami says ' LOVE AND KNOWLEDGE '

are the wings .!! If we simply love , and sit lazily and do nothing ,

there is no forward movement in life . KNOWLEDGE OF

EQUAL ' flutter ' to the love energy should be perfectly

in co-relation to the love shown , as we pass through each

event of our life .

Then again .

The 'tail wing ' of the bird makes it turn to the direction

in which it has to move forward .

Same also . 'MEDITATION ' Without meditation , the

direction and balance of forward movement of the life-events

will not be perfect !! Meditation is simply ' not thinking ' or

'being in silence of the mind and consequently , of our emotions ' .

The conclusive meaning that Swami wants us to understand

is :

LOVE . NOT BLINDLY . USE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AS AN

EQUAL WING TO THE WING OF THAT LOVE.

THEN KEEP SILENT IN MIND AND EMOTIONS OFTEN .

THE FORMER(wings-love and knowledge) WILL MAKE

YOUR LIFE MOVE POSITIVELY FORWARD.

THE LATTER ( tail wing- meditation ) WILL IMBIBE GOD INTO YOUR

CONSCIOUSNESS AND SHOW YOU THE MANY PATHWAYS

OF LIFE YOU SHOULD PURSUE .

A man's actions can be compared to the flight of a Bird, which needs three things to Fly –two wings and a tail– for its graceful movement. By means of the wings it balances itself in the air, and by the tail, like the rudder in a boat, it keeps its course.

In a Human being, love and knowledge are the two wings, and meditation the tail. When these function in harmony, Human beings become one with the Divine. This is the Highest Form of Bhakti.
