Living in the Presence of God (Vol I/Pt I - 42)

CHAPTER 42 Let

your hunger for God grow, and let this hunger become the food, itself,

that sustains the needs of the divine spirit that lives within. Start

to minimize those interests that deviate you away from God, and turn

around every moment and look for His presence - A heart that truly

searches, will find Him, always. Doubts

of God will arise in your mind, only because you have become used to

living under the control of your own egos and under the influence of a

fearful mind. You are content with identifying yourselves with the

body, and each pain of the body has become your suffering, the aging of

your body has become your limitations of life, and the fatigue of your

body has become your excuse to close your eyes and sleep in ignorance.

You judge your own beauty only by the external outlook, but the real

goodness, sweet love, and the simple truth reflects only from deep

within, and this beauty lies in each one of you. You can bring about

the change, only by knowing, believing, and using this fact that the

body is to serve, and the heart is your antennae to love, and that you

are here to live this life as God, and finally, leave this body with

only the love that filled your heart. The

love that you carry at the end of this lifetime is the "God", is the

real "you" and is the very nature of your being. Your true identity

lies in love, in loving and in being loved. Let Me give you an example.

When it rains, you protect the body by wearing a raincoat. The raincoat

is the barrier between the body and the stormy weather. The raincoat

may soak with water, but the body still remains quite dry. In the same

way, the worldly influences may affect the mind, the body, the

intellect, the ego and the senses, but the storm will not and cannot,

reach and affect the self within. The real you can never lost its

ability to remain as love, it is only masked by the mental and physical

struggles of life that makes this embodiment of love to appear as

jealous, envious, full of hatred, anger and selfish love. Your

doubts of God, today, are only the uncertainties you face in

understanding the meaning of your lives and existence. You have made

the world the reason of your birth and death, but the world, My dears,

is only an illusion; your concept of coming into the world and leaving

it is only false, the reality and truth remains in the divine spirit

that loves, that is unaffected, remains unchanged, ever present, and

eternal. All else that surrounds you is the birth of your own
