As you sow, so shall you reap. Therefore be aware of every little thing that you do. Your desires, your thoughts, your fancies and your emotions are all seeds you are sowing in the field of life. Some of these seeds germinate instantly and their effect is discenible at once. Some takes long time to grow and we do not realize their effect for a long while. Consider, for example, a dinner-party to which you been invited. Tempted by the tasty fare, you indulge yourself and overeat. In difestion follows very soon and put you wake up at midnight, calling desperately for the doctor. Sick and worried that you are dying of a heart-attack. Here indigestion follows our eating immediately-action and reaction follows our eating immediately--action and reaction follows. We have reaped what we sowed a few hours earlier,. But there are some actions of ours, whose effect we will feel only after several years--perhaps after several births. Therefore, let us act with causion and wisdom. Everyday, spend sometime in silence, perferably at the same time and same place. Sitting in silence, go over all that you did in the past twent-four hours. It is helpful if you go over your actions in the reverse order--i.e think of what you did just a while ago, then of what you did a little earlier and so on. You will surely find that there were things which you did, which you should not have done, as also things which you did not do but should have done. Many errors of omission and commission. Repent for all your errors and pray to Lord, "O Lord, give me the strength and wisdom not to to repeat my errors." When this prayer is uttered from the depth of our being.
