SURRENDER(Chapter 12)Why

get agitated? Let the Lord take care of all your businesses. He will be

the one who will think about them. He is waiting for nothing else other

than your surrender to Him. He will intervene only when you know how to

completely surrender to Him. Then you do not have to worry anymore

about anything. You can then say farewell to all fears and

discouragement. Mostly, you demonstrate that you do not trust Him. One

the contrary, you must rely on Him blindly. To surrender means to turn

your thoughts away from troubles, to turn them away from the

difficulties you encounter and from all your problems. Leave everything

into His hands saying : 'Lord, I thank you for you have taken

everything in your hands and you will resolve this for my highest good.'Remember

that thinking of the consequences of a thing is contrary to surrender,

that is to say, when you worry that a situation has not had the desired

outcome. You then demonstrate that you don't believe in His love for

you. You prove that you do not consider your life to be under His

control and that nothing escapes Him. Never think : how is this going

to end.... what is going to happen.... if you give into this

temptation, you show that you do not trust Him. Do you want Him to deal

with your problems, yes or no? Then you must stop being anxious. He

will guide you only if you completely surrender to Him. When He leads

you into a different path than the one you expect, He carries you in

His arms.What seriously upsets you is your reasoning, your worrying, your

obsession, your will to provide for yourselves at any price. He can do

many things as much in your material necessities as in your spiritual

ones, providing you turn to Him within. You think of it and then close

your eyes and rest quietly. You will receive a lot but only when your

prayer will rely fully upon Him. You pray to Him when in pain so that

He can intervene, but in the way you desire it. You do not rely on Him

but you wish Him to adjust to your requests. Do not behave like sick

ones who ask for a treatment from the doctor, all the time suggesting

it to him. Do not do like that but rather, even in sad circumstances

say : 'Lord, I praise and thank you, and I pray you arrange things as

you please for this temporal life. You know very well what is best for

me.'Sometimes, you feel that disasters increase instead of

diminishing? Do not become agitated, close your eyes and call on Him

with faith : You think of it. And when you speak from your heart, He

will even create a miracle when necessary. He will only think of it

when you trust Him totally. He always thinks of you but can only help

you completely when you rely fully on Him. To not ask is surrender. To

give up likes and dislikes is true surrender. Not asking for this or

that, but equally, not asking that you do not want this or that either.

this is very difficult to do. The best way is not to react violently to

likes and dislikes. Definition of the highest complete surrender is

that whatever one wishes is His will. One need not check with the Lord

every moment and ask, 'Is this what you want? Is this what I should be

doing? Just do! Whatever one wishes is His wish, His will. At this
