The Divine Significance of 9 & 18 in Sastras -Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and other Vedic literatures.1. There are 18 chapters in the Bhagavad gita.2. The Kurukshetra battle took a total of 18 days.3. There are 18 Puranas.4. There are 18,000 verses in Srimad Bhagavatam.5. Chapter 9 in Bhagavad-gita is King of Knowledge.6. Lord Rama appeared on Navami (9).7. Nandotsava celebrated on 9th day in Gokul. (Lord Krishna appeared on 8th day (astami) of Krishna paksha at mid night and transferred to Gokul).8. There are 9 processes of bhakti: Sravanam, Kirtanam, Visnu smaranam, Pad sevanam, Accanam, vandanam, Dasyam, Sakhyam and Atma-nivedaanam9. There are 9 auspicious days twice a year (Navratras)10. There are 9 ages of development: Impregnation, Gestation, Birth,

Infancy, Childhood, Youth, Middle age, Old age, and Death.11. A child stays for 9 months in mother’s womb.
