Additional "Airavat" Volvo Service from Bangalore to ShirdiKarnataka - Bangalore Staff ReporterBangalore : Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will introduce one more additional Volvo Air-Conditioned Bus "Airavat",service from Bangalore to Shirdi via Bijapur, Solapur, Ahmednagar, from March`2010.Tickets may be booked 30 days in advance. Passengers can avail themselves of 5 per cent discount on group bookings and 10 per cent discount

on return journey tickets, if both Onward and Return journey tickets are booked simultaneously. Control room, in case of an accident or suspicious activities at bus stops, the KSRTC control rooms can be informed on - 080-22221164. KSRTC has started the control room to immediately gather information so that accident victims can be attended to fast. It will also help to keep a check on terrorist and other unlawful activities at bus stops.Last year, KSRTC had inducted 30 new Airavata buses (9400 Series Volvo) into its fleet. The new buses have four

emergency exits and an emergency door on the right hand side for quick exit. The buses have a luggage space of 10 cubic metres, LCD TV, besides mobile and laptop charging points on-board.
