While engaged as you are in seva karma (service activity) as sadhana (spiritual practice), you encounter many hurdles. But, that is the nature of the world in which you act. It is a world of dual characteristics - good and bad, joy and grief, progress and regress, light and shade. Do not pay heed to these; do what comes to you as a duty, as well as you can, with prayer to God. The rest is in His Hands.

- Divine Discourse, November 21, 1981.

Surrendering the fruit of action to the Lord is real sacrifice. - Baba
