No one can transform anyone unless one wishes that one has to change. When one is there with that feeling one needs the guidance n help of pious persons who can show them way on which one can walk.Sure the world will sort of always remain the same as it is . But pious souls don't stop working for humanity for that's their work irrespective of whether will one day world become all pious or not. " >> Dear Swami Yogeshananda, This is so beautiful, and is indeed very practical advice. One of the spiritual practices I have been taught is to pray for anyone who triggers anger or resentment in me, and it has become a habit for me to pray as soon as those uncomfortable feelings arise. I do not want my mind to nurture negative thoughts about others since that is like drinking poison thinking it will kill the other person. Anger or resentment can only shut out the sunlight of the Spirit, and that would be death. I'm not suggesting denial of the emotions, but rather that my mind not focus and nurture any angry or negative thoughts. Thank you for your beautiful and loving renderings. I look forward to your words since they soothe and comfort and guide. Om Shanti! Jody
Guest guest
Om Sai Raam Sai Brothers/Sisters.... I wanted to share this email with you all...this is what Swami teaches us all. Have a Sai Filled Blissful and Positive Day.. Om Sri Sai Raam Radhe Attitude There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head."Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up,looked in the mirrorand saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up,looked in the mirror and noticedthat she had only one hair on her head."Well," she said, "today I'm goingto wear my hair in a pony tail."So she did, and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YAY!" she exclaimed. "I don't have to fix my hair today!" Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly....... Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Guest guest
SAI RAM ALL Yes attitude indeed makes all the difference. I am reminded of a brother officer of the Indian Army, whith whom I shared my tent for some 6 months. This officer had a permature baldness and his hair line had receded, but evey moring while shaving he would exclaim with a broad smile - I HAVE LESSER HAIR TO COMB, BUT A BIGGER FACE TO WASH AND ON SOME DAYS IT WOULD BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND - I HAVE BIGGER FACE TO WASH - SO WHAT - I HAVE LESSER HAIR TO COMB.
