Guest guest
Sai Ram and greetings from Puttaparthi! I returned, yesterday (3rd May), from a blissful 2-day trip to Kodai. Being a 3 day long weekend, thousands at gathered in Kodai, to get a glimpse of their beloved Lord. Since my trip to Kodai was a last minute decision, finding accommodation during that period was next to impossible but Swami made sure I was comfortable in Kodai. I got a SMS while I was in the bus for Kodai from a lady devotee inviting me to share her room. I was pleasantly surprised as I had never mentioned to her my plans to travel or my need for accommodation. That is the power of " Sai networking " . I was blessed with an amazing darshan - 1st row. This seat was lovingly forced upon me by my Iranian friend Nooshin as she knew that I was there for only 2 darshans. Only Swami could have motivated her to perform such a profound act of compassion. That evening, I had two very close darshans of Swami. As He passed down the aisle on His way to the men's side and while I and other ladies in my row stretched out our letters, He very sweetly gestured that He would be coming back, so to be patient. He returned and accepted our letters. Such a darshan happens very rarely. I feel truly blessed for it and grateful to Nooshin for thinking of me and for patiently looking for me in the crowd and offering me her seat. Next morning, when I reached Sai Shruti for darshan, I was shocked to see that thousands of devotees had already lined up. The lines were a mile long and I felt that I had no chance of getting into the token lines. Not only did I get into the token lines but also got token no. 1. Well, I was ecstatic and ego did play its role too. Other ladies in the no. 1 row were arguing with the seva dal ladies and scolding them for sitting in front of them and blocking their view of Swami. That morning Swami did not come!!! I guess each one had a lesson to learn.... I learnt that tokens, 1st rows, etc. mean nothing to Swami - it is His will alone that decides how, when, where & who gets darshan of Him. I was lost in the crowd on the previous evening, yet I was literrally dragged to the first row....... I can easily get a darshan of Swami whenever He is in Parthi, as I reside there, so I did not feel so bad. My heart broke for the thousands who had travelled long distances, from Chennai, etc., to get a glimpse of their beloved Swami and had to return disappointed. Well, I had a lovely car darshan of Swami, this morning, while he was making His way to Prasanthi on His return from Kodai. Puttaparthi has suddenly resurrected from the dead!! It has sprung back to life now that the VERY SOURCE OF LIFE is here to cheer & uplift us all. Jai Sai Ram! Romula D'Silva
