The need for a guru

Dear Sister Ratna,

I went to visit my relatives in Atlanta over the

Christmas holidays. I wanted to see the places around

but I wanted their help and guidance in giving me the

directions, procedures to follow, what not to miss

etc, etc.. If for this little journey of a day or

two, I need the help and guidance of people who have

already travelled that path, you can realize how

important is the guidance of a Guru in our long

spiritual journey. He will tell us what path is best

suited for you and would guide you on that path. You

can appreciate the power of a Guru if you read how Sri

Ramakrishna made his disciples realize God in the path

best suited to them.
