Guest guest
Today the 2nd day of Navarathri, The Divine Amma is decorated as Uma-Parvathi and third day the fearful Kali swaroop. The next three days, 4th, 5th and 6th day belong to MahaLakshmi. When a person acquires triumph over evil tendencies of ego, anger, lust and other animal instincts, he/she experiences a void. This void is filled with spiritual wealth. For the purpose, the person approaches Goddess Lakshmi, to acquire all the materialistic, spiritual wealth and prosperity. This is the reason why the fourth, fifth and sixth day of Navratri are dedicated to the worship of Lakshmi - the goddess of prosperity and peace. Although the individual has acquired victory over evil tendencies and wealth, he is still deprived of true knowledge. Knowledge is required to live the life of a humane, even though he/she is prospered with power and wealth. Therefore, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri. All the books and other literature materials are gathered in one place and an earthen lamp is lit in front of the deity, to invoke the goddess and seek her blessings. Till the time the books are kept at the puja room, the students would not study. The 5th Day which is known as Lalita Panchami, is an educational tradition in which we gather and display all literature available in the house, light a lamp or ‘diya’ to invoke Saraswati Maa, the Goddess of knowledge Those of us who would like to recite Lalitha Sahasranama with English meaning, please click the link below http://stotraratna.awardspace.com/stotra/Parvathy/p58.pdf Those who would like to listen Lakshmi Sahasra Namam, please click the link below http://www.raaga.com/player4/?id=59500 & mode=100 & rand=0.83323169514924 Some of us may like to listen Lakshmi charita ganam for which you can click the link below http://www.raaga.com/channels/telugu/moviedetail.asp?mid=AD000307 Another useful link for Lakshmi Pooja http://www.lakshmimeditation.com/ and http://www.diwalimela.com/puja/lakshmi-puja.html Om Sai Ram
