How can one who has done pious deeds, who has accumalated Plus, born in a rich family due to his merits do bad deeds in present life? Our Atman Soul has to undergo many lives in order to purify itself of impurities. If one does good or bad deeds who is responsible, Is it body, mind and brain. Does atman soul influence us to do good and be good (is this what we call as inner voice?). Dear Sai family please reply so that all will be benefited and follow our Swami's teachings. Now that the question has emanated from another devotee’s side, as one who has been able to externalize himself, I tend to think on the following lines only: Any soul originating from the Divine and caught in the wheel of births and deaths has to ultimately get back to the origin only. Just as an actor is perfected by a director by repeated rehearsals, by giving many opportunities to experience this worldly life the Divine also perfects every soul in ITS own ways. At some stage of the evolution of a soul from a human being to the Divine, the soul gets positioned in the Godward movement. It is my unshakable belief that such a position could be achieved only through sufferings and not certainly through comforts. At the same time, any soul that ultimately merges with the Divine for a birthless state should have experienced both good and bad in human life. For the good deeds done, the Divine Blesses a soul with richness in human life and with repeated rich man’s life a soul will never aspire for Godly position which is not the ultimate aim of the Director of this Universe! So the Director makes the rich man indulge in bad deeds also so that the next human birth would be full of suffering for this soul. In suffering, any human being with a basic intellect would only think of God and this is irrefutable. (Though I am deviating from the question in view for a moment, I generally keep on telling my fellow devotees that every Sai Devotee would have entered the Sai fold only in times of uncontrollable distress in his / her life time, otherwise, I bet, they would not have come to Sai fold, save with the exception of the Bala Vikas children who would have certainly been Sai devotees in their past lives) So the rich man doing bad deeds gets into a life of suffering, falls at HIS feet, aspires for birthless state which he/she may attain in a single stroke or through several births. In any case, once a soul is after that birthless state, thereafter, there will not be any scope of the soul being born rich and therefore, for doing bad deeds. The soul by then would have got it positioned in the path towards Godhood and would be inching forward without any reverse drive. This is my personal view on the subject. I hold this unshakable belief that just as the Voice of God can be heard only in silence, Merging with the Divine would be possible only through a process of suffering, not through a process of enjoyment and worldly pleasures. If I did pious deeds in my last birth and then born in a rich and famous family do bad deeds in this present life -how is it possible ? beacuse my past traits will be embedded in this present life ( samskaras ) so how can I do bad deeds ? but again we see rich people, ministers and big celebreties despite all the riches around they are entangled in heinous stuff - this is truly mind boggling ?????????????????? Only HE who is enlightened can respond to such a deep question. However, my response comes from whatever Swami Literature I have had the advantage of reading. At times HE has said that HE will never interfere with the working of the Laws of Karma. At other times HE has stated that HIS GRACE will reduce the suffering of any person provided the person is in a state of Saranagathi. HE has also said that HIS GRACE reduces the painful experience and acts as a kind of pain killer. A DEVOTEE goes through the experience without feeling the pain of the situation. In HIS earlier body HE ensured that Pillai suffers the worms in his leg and comes out of that experience liberated. Dear Sai Brother, I have to state that in the Divine presence all our karma and past sins get destroyed. That is the reason devotees or no, all come to His Divine presence. It is a little different for those who cannot come to the Divine presence. Let not anybody be discouraged. Much depends on the intensity of the devotion. Unfortunately, this seems to be the truth Our Atman Soul has to undergo many lives in order to purify itself of impurities. The whites are responsible as of today for all electronics is their invention and a majority of the bad is through the electronic medium. The whites were all cockroaches in their previous lives. Prior to being cockroaches they were all demons who were ruled by King Bali, that King Bali who was sent to the netherworld by Lord Vishnu as Vamana.
