Guest guest
The life of trees is not different from the life of a Sage. The virtues exhibited by trees are not different from the virtues that lead to spiritual growth. Spend more time outdoors observing and appreciating nature's gifts, less time indoors with boxes, books, carpets, dust mites, stagnant air, and cubicles. You'll have a better happier life, period. The care and nurture of plant life is in and of itself a kind of meditative activity that can lead to quietness of the mind, as well as the fostering of a Satvic environment. Observe: the plant life, the animal life, the co-existence of every life form, the interdependence of all life forms, the freedom and free exchange of life force among the life forms. In the depths of nature there is no judgement, no agenda, no plan to be upset, no purpose to be realized, no ego to build up or break down, no thoughts, no thinkers, only a sort of harmony. A boiling enveloping, peace. In Sanskrit the word " Ashrama " means " refuge " . Sages lived in 'ashramas' in the forests that gave refuge to a variety of Satvic life forms (cows, deer, birds, plants, etc.) while conducting their daily rituals, meditating on the Knowledge of the Self for welfare of the world by radiating Satvic vibrations into their environment, and remaining ever engaged in doing good to all. *Trees -> O2 -> Animals/Man -> CO2 -> Trees* => Yajna (Life Energy Regulation) *Sun -> Water -> Vapor -> Clouds -> Sun* (Light Regulation) *Sun -> Water -> Vapor -> Rain -> Crops -> Photosynthesis -> O2 -> Animals/Man -> CO2 -> Temperature -> Clouds -> Sun* (Inter-relatedness of all life) Through rain, the atmosphere is purified as clouds form and dissipate, creating separation of charges, resulting in lightning storms, generating pollution cleansing ozone, and regenerating a freshness to the entire environment. Nature is ever engaged in purifying and recycling everything. This is the natural law. Yajna implies these multitude of processes of give and take that result in the highest good and mutual welfare of all life forms. Yajna also encompasses macro laws such as thermodynamics, energy conservation, mass conservation, etc. Everything is connected with everything. You cannot take one thing away, and expect everything else to remain unaffected. The Universe is One. Only the ego perceives the diversity. " This whole universe is situated in yajna.
