Let us not ever forget Swami's many messages on Respect for Woman and to revere and Respect one's Mother at all times. Let us also bow in Reverence to our Sai Sisters who are great service in spreading Swami's Divine Message everywhere. This date is commemorated at the United Nations. In many countries it is a national holiday, when women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate. Gender equality and women’s empowerment are fundamental to the global mission of the United Nations to achieve equal rights and dignity for all... But equality for women and girls is also an economic and social imperative. Until women and girls are liberated from poverty and injustice, all our goals -- peace, security, sustainable development -- stand in jeopardy.
