The

Atma is formless. It is separate from the body that it inhabits. The

body is subject to birth, growth and decay, but the Atma is free from

all this. The Atma has no desires, no impulses, no cravings. It is

above and beyond all the attributes. The Prakrithi (creation) is the

ocean. Purusha (creator) is as a lotus on water, unaffected, unattached

and unruffled.
