Lets befriend Sai on Friendship Day

 

I was living alone

But He was watching

And waiting

For the right time

To be approached and prayed to

And in my loneliness I found a friend

In God, I found a friend

In my Sai I found a friend

And he embraced me in His arms

Wiped my every tear

Brought laughter and cheer

Into my life

Because He is the giver of light

He dispels darkness from everyone’s heart

And from this world

 

He is the savior

Of the destitute and the poor

He brings respite

By sharing everyone’s pain

When in drought the earth is parched

From Heaven He sends down rain

 

I thank You oh! Baba

For showing me the way

Forever indebted are we

For Your grace

May our thirst for your nectar like words

Never subside

And may to Your teachings

We always abide

You are our teacher, our parent and our guide

 

We bow to You O! Benevolent Friend

And I pray to Thee on this Friendship Day

That we spread Your message of Love Peace and Harmony

And by giving up hostility at Your feet today

Lets start a new trend

May there be Happiness and Joy

Around every bend

And may sorrow be wiped away forever

 

O! Father please open the gates to Your kingdom

And welcome Your children to a bright future

For they have suffered enough for their sins

Now like a loving mother

Give us a place in Your lap

We are tired of all this fighting and war

Please forgive our wayward actions

So admit us in Your school of divinity

And teach us how to live as One.
