Guest guest
AUM SAI RAM On 22.02.2009, I was graced with a beautiful dream at Prasanti Nilayam- It is ‘Shivratree’. I am standing in front of a black stone statue of Lord Shiva and I am making offerings of flowers to him and chanting ‘Aum Namah Shivayah!’ with loads of fervor and ‘bhakti’. Suddenly I realize, with amazement, that the statue in front of me is not of Lord Shiva but of Lord Subramanyam, also called Lord Muruga, one of the two sons of Lord Shiva and Parvati Devi. The other son is Lord Ganesha, the elephant faced God. I woke up and tried to figure out the reason Lord Subramanyam had blessed me with a dream darshan. I am a devotee of Lord Shiva and not of Lord Subramanyam. The next morning, when I told my room-mates about the dream, one of them exclaimed: ‘We are celebrating Shivratree. How come you are dreaming of Lord Muruga?’ I prayed to the Sai within to elucidate the mystery: ‘Lead me to Light, O my sweet Lord!’ A few days later, I was walking quickly towards the Sai Kulwant Hall when my eyes caught the sight of a book- ‘Sai Inner views and insight’ which was displayed in a window near the Central Trust Office. I went to look for the book at the Prasanti Nilayam Bookstall and bought it. As I delved into the pages, I got the unexpected explanation to my dream. The author, Howard Murphet, had cited imagery from the Puranas, the Hindu Sacred Scriptures, where the Gods say: ‘Shiva himself is here playing the active role of his son, Subramanyam!’ The Sweet Lord Sai had, thus, given me an ‘inner view’ of the Eternal Truth - the Father is the Son- the Son is the Father. There is only one God though we may call him by many names. At the Lotus Feet of Sai Anita
