Dharma and Duty - The Right Action at the Right Time -Remember the Director of the Play Part 07God's grace is earned even in common tasks, if theyare dedicated to him. Village ladies balance pots ofwater on their heads in rural Indian towns. They maychat with neighbors or watch their children, butalways their mind is on the pot of water balancedabove. We also must perform action in the world whileremaining concentrated on our duty - remembrance ofGod."A little practice will teach you to hold fast to thefeet of God while roaming about in the world, doingall duties and carrying all responsibilities asdedicated to him" BabaThe results pf our

actions are less important than themanner in which we perform them. We must work to thebest of our ability; the results are decided by God.It is our duty to perform action dedicated to thehighest ideals, but it is foolish for us to be tooconcerned with the results. If we act on goodmotivation and follow our hearts, the results willtake care of themselves."Do all work as actors in a play, keeping youridentity separate and not attached to your personalityor your role. Remember that the whole thing is just aplay and the Lord has assigned you a part. Act wellyour part;there all your duty ends. He has designedthe play and he enjoys it" BabaLearning our duty is like the unfolding of a flower. The flower exists within the bud,but is only seen asit blossoms. All of us have the fragrance of love inour hearts, but we must act unselfishly to releaseit.Truth and divinity are always

present within us; itis their manifestation that is often lacking in ourlives. So also the avatar incarnates not toreestablish dharma, but to make it apparent."It is not dharma which needs to be reestablished, fordharma is unchanging and indestructible. It is thepractive of dharma for which avatars are born" BabaContinued... Dharma and Duty - The Right Action at theRight Time - Duty to the Divine Self Part 08
