Vashi - D.N.A - Daily News & Analysis Friday, April 03, 2009 Keeping in view of tradition practiced in Shirdi, devotees of Kharghar have decided to take out a procession of Sai Baba today on occasion of Ram Navami. The procession aims to mark the birth of Lord Rama who is remembered for his prosperous and righteous reign. “Sai Babas autobiography too mentions about the tradition of taking out grand procession during Ram Navami. Likewise, even in Shirdi on occasion of this auspicious day, religious procession of Sai Baba is taken,†secretary of Bihar Navchetna Seva Samiti Anupam Singh said. In Kharghar, the procession will commence in the evening from Sector 15 and will visit various temples before culminating for a special recitation of religious hymns. The procession would comprise of a picture of Sai Baba placed with a palaquinn for devotees to worship. “I am an ardent devotee of Sai Baba and have been maintaining the eternal light in the name of the Saint. The procession which is being held for the first time in the node will visit the temples of Lord Rama and Hanuman situated in sector 11 and from thereon it will move towards the Shiv Temple in sector 12.
