first 200 houses of Bhagawan's flood relief programme to the recipients

from Orissa. The families who were to receive Swami's bounty were

seated together as couples in the front part of Sai Kulwant Hall.

Bhagawan came for darshan in a yellow robe seated on the raised golden

chair at 9.20 am. When He came to the centre of Sai Kulwant Hall, He

asked for the distribution function to begin. Utensils, mats and other

items of household use were packed in bags and handed over to each

compassion and love in undertaking the projects. Bhagawan then

delivered His Ramanavami message. In His fifty minute Discourse, Swami

here today. Once Bhagawan came onstage after His darshan round just

before five o'clock, He sat there listening to the Vedam chanting for a

while before asking the leader of the Orissa group to announce the

recipients' names after a brief introduction. Clothes were distributed

to them as they came up to Bhagawan. Swami went into the interview room

briefly after the distribution before returning onstage for their

cultural programme just before six o'clock.

conch-blowing. A "Pala" performance followed, narrating in rustic style

their travails and Bhagawan's helping hand. Bhagawan blessed the main

performer with a chain at the end of his performance. A 20-minute Hindi

drama on Sabari's story was the next presentation. After each

presentation, the devotees prayed that Bhagawan bless their state with

a visit. Swami moved down from the stage and moved among the performers

for group photographs before He returned onstage to accept Arati and
