Guest guest
Living even an ordinary life has been a difficult task with human beings in every age and not in the present time only. Leading an ordinary life means always trying to satisfy the social and family demands. It is easy for those who have left home and taken to ascetic way of life, to follow the spiritual path but it is a greater problem when living in our physical world looking after the never ending series of family and social commitments. We seek a Guru to give us a simple solution to this most difficult problem. In the first stage nobody follows the ‘Guru Path’ completely. It requires a number of years or attempts to prepare oneself. If a man goes on searching a Guru, reading books on this subject, reading the life stories of Saints, keeping purity in conduct etc., gradually the thoughts relating to the Sadguru will grow in his inner self. Under these conditions he will meet a Guru somewhere at a certain point of time. More correctly he will draw the attention of the Sadguru who has the divine power to see through the merits and demerits of everyone and the thought process of all His devotees even from a distance. It is said that the disciple cannot find a Guru, but the Perfect Master finds out His disciple certainly. As Baba said, “I draw my devotees from thousands of milesâ€. In life full of difficulties it is a true endeavor to develop the qualities of compassion, forgiveness and service. Selfless service to all living beings is the goal of the Guru. It may be concluded that initially one should begin with obeying on smaller duties given to him by the Guru, and gradually one should move ahead for bigger jobs. While undergoing life’s struggle whatever qualities one develops those remain permanently with him and become a part of his divine self. These qualities are carried to the next life. In the next life also he again gets the help of a Guru and evolves further. The Guru Path or Parampara is not a game of one life but of a time continuum.
