Bend the body, mend the senses and end the mind - this should be your endeavour

The path of devotion means always being in union with God. It teaches us the need to practise steadiness of mind under all circumstances. It speaks of being resolute, making a firm commitment to practise the spiritual teachings in daily life; it also teaches the need for contentment. There is a marked difference between satisfaction and true joy. One is the satisfaction that you obtain from the world’s temporary joys, whereas true joy is something that comes from the depths of your heart. It is associated with truth, it is permanent, it is detached from all transient worldly concerns, and it represents the unity of the spirit... It is full and complete in itself. A true devotee should not be carried away and attach importance to worldly things. Use your time, therefore, to control the vagaries of your

mind and develop mental steadiness.
