Guest guest
The Divine Birthday of Sri Krishna is also called as Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Krishnashtami and as Gokulashtami. Lord Sri Krishna was born on Ashtami thithi (eighth day) in Krishna Paksha during the month of Sravana on Rohini Nakshtra. It is most sacred to recite the Divine Manthra ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.’ This can be done while performing pujas or throughout the day.Pujas involve offering flowers and performing Arati. Also Reciting or listening to the Divine Srimad Bhagavad Purana or Bhagavatam is highly auspicious on the day.
