Guest guest
Namaste, I think there is room for personal experience on this list as long as it is relevant to the subject at hand. Obviously Ramakrishna and Vivikananda have inspired us all, and if appropriate a shared experience could inspire us as well. om shanti, Thomas >Hi Everyone, > I was just thinking that rather than just reading books n >hearing lectures about philosphy we should do practical things in >spirituality n philosphy too. Guest guest
I wanted to let members of this (Ramakrishna) list know of a daily online study of the lectures and writings of Swami Vivekananda. We are studying lectures from the book Jnana Yoga. This mailing list has existed for over 4 years. We have finished over nine lectures of Swamiji as well as assorted poems and writings of his. All lectures are sent out in sequenced form, as he spoke them. I mail out a paragraph a day. We are now studying a lecture called: THE ABSOLUTE AND MANIFESTATION which was delivered in London, in 1896. To or send a message to sarada. ======================== Vivekananda Centre has been receiving these postings from 'ananta' on a regular basis and we recommend them very highly. It is very inspiring to get this message first thing in the morning. We thank 'ananta' for his excellent contribution.
Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I was just thinking that rather than just reading books n hearing lectures about philosphy we should do practical things in spirituality n philosphy too. None of the leaders of human race like Swami Vivekanand or Sri Ramakrishan Pramhansa or JagadGuru Shankracharya became great in this field just by reading books n listening lectures. One can't feel n understand wat has been experienced by one unless one oneself experiences those. So i am just worried if everyone who is on this blessed path is in it practically too. These r just my views. Hope my words r not offence to anyone if so plz do point it out. I am saying the above things on my experience. Guest guest
Namaste, My experiences r not related to Shree Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Swami Vivekanand. His devotional love ,simplicity has touched me.His quotes " if u want God as strong as the feeling to breathe when ur head is under water " . My experiences r related to spirituality n My Pujya Gurudev in general. I used to meditate but there was no peace. Than one day i asked myself " R u really meditating ? " Do u really want God ? Am i meditating because i want to meditate. Than i thought that i was reciting Guru Mantraa but not with full devotion. As soon as i had the thought of fully devoting myself.Surrendering myself completely to him. There came peace , i started experiencing sensations in body.
