Guest guest
Dear Jay, Your discussion of Swamiji's explanation of Samkhya Akasha and Prana was very clear and concise. Thank you. Edith
Guest guest
On further consideration I would like to know where you find Swamiji's definition " Akash is all penetrating existence itself " in which comes a disturbance, prana or energy or matter. That is, are you saying that he re-defined Samkhya philosophy? My understanding is that he thought Samkhya did not go far enough in his analysis and that deeper analysis led to their being only One. =========================================== >>Reply added by Vivekananda Centre -- Hope this answers your question - Edith. >I get it from Raja yoga lectures. Vivekananda - Yogas and other works Page 592 just few quotes from this page: " According to the philosophers of India the universe is composed of two entities, one of which they call akasa, and the other, prana. Akasha is the all-penetrating existence. ...... " By what power is akasa manufactured into this universe? By the power of prana. ... Prana the manifesting power of the universe. ... Prana is evolved everything that we call energy, everything that we call force. It is prana that is manifesting all motion.... regards jay
