Guest guest
i think... When one knows how to correct the bad deeds which one has done than one calls it mistake. but when one is unable to comrehend the bad which one has done and doens't know clearly how to rise above it than one calls it sin. There seems to be optimism in mistake n pessimism in sin. Guest guest
NAMASTE There are 2 aspects of Swamiji's teachings on sin: one is for the non-dualist who asserts 'Thou art That'. For such a person when one is asserting that one's core of being is the Self he must say, since the Self is beyond sin and is full and complete that he has no sin and is beyond sin. This can be a dangerous assertion for some aspirants, that is why this path of assertion is practiced by only a small number of eligible people. The second aspect is that when one has already committed 'sin' one need not brood over it, saying I am a sinner. He said " Thinking all the time that we are diseased , will not cure us; medicine is necessary. Being reminded of weakness does not help much. Give strength; and strength does not come by thinking of weakness all the time. The remedy for weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength. " Even Sri Ramakrishna used to say " Say 'I am God's child and I have uttered Name . . . can I ever be impure?' " (not exact quote) Yours in Sri Ramakrishna, Om Lala
Guest guest
According to Webster's Dictionary: A sin is wickedness or the voluntary departure from a custom prescribed by society or divine law. A mistake is an error or misunderstanding; a wrong act done unintentionally.
