Guest guest
Namaste Some of my relatives very foirmly believe that Satya Sai Baba in india is an incarnation of God and millions of others think so as well. Others think he's a magician trying to play with people's minds with his magic tricks. This IS an important matter to discuss as an incarnation of God is no joke. What do all of you think? Guest guest
My father too is a devotee of Sri Satyaa Sai Babaa. Same thoughts as ur's arised in my mind. So i asked a yogi abt it n he said that the person is OK. But i didn't asked whether he is an incarnation of lord or not. My father has had some beautiful experiences with Sri Satya Sai Babaa which he shared with me. But he doesn't like my spiritual practices thinking i can be wrong. Sometimes people think watever they do is right wat all others do can be wrong. His r not magic tricks they r genuine. If anyone can see the auraa around him n has the ability to analyse it than one can know at what stage Sri Satyaa Sai Babaa is. On one list one of the list members analyzed his auraa n said that his kundalini is 3/4 awakenend. The person who analysed it can be wrong too. On the same list there were persons who took Shaktipaat Dikshaa from him n their kundalini experiences were genuine. But on the same list there was one person who used to be a great devotee of him unless he met him. When he met him he didn't found him as powerful as he thought. He also can be wrong for the person man can be blinded by one's ego. So i think that Sri Satyaa Sai Babaa is OK but can't say whether he is an incarnation of Lord or not. Only a yogi who is high in spirituality can know it. The great sages who live a ordinary life can only be recognised by the devoted ones n the great yogis rest all keep condemning them. Guest guest
Hi, In response to your e-mail regarding Sai Baba, I am not sure what I think. I am on a mailing list from which I receive a daily message from him, and so far, I have not found any inspiration in his messages. That could be because he is not my teacher; or it could be because he does not speak Truth. I guess the rule of thumb is that if a teacher speaks to one's heart, then that one is your teacher. It is an individual process and the one who may speak to us today, may not make any sense tomorrow. There are many stepping stones along the pathless path. Our own spiritual practices will refine us to the point where we can recognize Truth from Not-Truth. So, for myself, I trust the process. There is no place where God is not. Om Shanti! Guest guest
I think he's a wonderful example of occult powers -- and of course refer to Ramakrishna on that.
Guest guest
Namaste Let me relate to all of an experience I had. A few years ago, I went to the Ramakrishna mission in my country to know more about Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. There I got to meet this very nice Swamiji by the name of Swami Bhaktikamananda. I took the opportunity to put forth several questions to him regarding religion and spirituality as I had many doubts. At that time, I was also involved in a music project to be sponsored by ISKCON (Hare Krishnas) and was greatly put off by their fanaticism & bigotry (only my opinion). So I asked this Swamiji what he thought about ISKCON and their ways. Then came a reply from him, which I will never forget in this lifetime. He said, " Instead of telling you something bad, let me tell you some good things that you can take and practise in your life " . This single line, altho might mean nothing to many, to me is the way of the wise men. Swami Vivekananda too has mentioned in many of his western lectures that the world is filled with good and bad. Take the good and leave the rest. The choice is ours. In the case of Sri Sathya Sai Baba (i am not his disciple), maybe we can exercise this. Let's take the good messages that come from him and take the rest to be something we don't understand. Sometimes, when I make judgments like these, I feel that a molehill is trying to measure a mountain. Guest guest
NAMASTE I fully agree with you. Instead of questioning whether he is incarnation of god or not, We can take and try to practice what we feel as good characterestics in him. I feel that he is doing a tremendous social work. He has developed Puttaparti (the place where he stays) very much. He is using the faith of millions of people in him in a very constructive way. He is making them give something back to the society they live in. In that sense I respect him very much. ---- M.Magesh 876, 14th Cross, DSP group Indira Nagar II stage MIEL Bangalore 560 038 phone 5598615-2108 email : mmagesh ---- On Thu, 6 May 1999, K Kathirasan ADM NCS wrote: > K Kathirasan ADM NCS <kathirasan > > Namaste > > Let me relate to all of an experience I had. Guest guest
Namaste ., I really respect him for the social activities what he is doing. The Sai Baba Trust has a huge amount of money which his devotees have donated. But I don't understand why is he doing miracles. Is it to attract people? I have not heard of any spiritual leaders using there devine powers to attract people. Guest guest
Hi, I have heard it said that Sai Baba performs his miracles to draw people to him so that he may then give them the higher teachings. It is interesting to note that his devotees have published some interesting books, one of which is " The Secret Life of Jesus " (Don't know if the title is accurate). I've noticed that often it is the devotional energy of the devotees that draws followers to some teachers. The bhaktas often empower a guru. Something to think about. Of course, this is not the case with our beloved masters, Swamiji and Ramakrishna. In the light and love of our beloved Teachers, Jody Hoelle
