Either you consider the body to be real or not, it doesn't matter. The identfication of your self to be the body is the problem spelled out by Vedanta. It is also worth noting what Sri Ramakrishna taught Sri Totapuri about the realness of the body when the latter found difficulty in rising above bodily discomforts during meditation.
