Guest guest
Dear Jay, This is so wonderful. Thank you for sharing all of that with us. I'm curious to learn about you. Are you a monk? Are you an educator? The service you are doing, fulfills a need. Thank you again for your fine work. Love, Jody
Guest guest
Over the last few months the list has been growing steadily. We now have 117 members. The list is proving to be a useful instrument for: - (a) Spiritual dialogue/debate. (b) Portraying the life and teachings of the holy trinity. © Exchanging news and views on various activities. (d) Bringing people with similar ideology together. (e) Offering holy company (satsang) on the internet. The profile of the list members may be summed up as a combination of the following (a) Devotees of the holy trinity. (b) Scholars in scriptures. © Those with general interest in spiritual matters. © Bodies affiliated to the Ramakrishna Mission and many unaffiliated groups in many different parts of the world - all working towards the same ideals. Apart from the postings on the list we get a lot of mail directly; some of which we feel we should share with the list. Let us give you a few examples of what kind of mail we get. ===Message (1)From Dr Shah === Dear Jay See how the Holy Trio has showered their grace on me! I just have spoken to Swami Tathagananda. He highly spoke about you and mentioned your Center's glorious activities. I am glad to know about your Center. Probably you know our Ramda from Vivekananda Human Center in London. We started the Vivekananda Center at Dhaka University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Latter on (1991) I started my education at the City University of New York and began our activities in 1995. Right now we are providing Vivekananda scholarship to 250 needy students in Bangladesh and India under the supervision of Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission. Please include our name in your mailing list. We published a magazine " JYOTI " last year. Please give us your mailing address, so I can mail you a copy. We are trying to build our website soon. I will let you know the development. I will appreciate your advice and co-operation.May Ramakrishna bless us all. With Namaskar Prakash Chakraborty ======Message (3) from reporter for India Today======= Dear Sir Thanks for the information, it is really good to know about your organisation, and I would like that others should know about it. As I told you, I will require some pictures, which we can use. We would like to run the story As early as possible, so it might be difficult for me to click the photos. I would appreciate if you could provide me with three-four photos by June 1. ==Message (4) From University College London President Hindu Society ==== Namaste! Thanks again for your prompt reply, my apologies for not writing sooner, things are quite busy at hospital.. I would be very interested to see the kind of activities you do, especially at such a scale that so many can be prepared for GCSE and A-Level.. It is great... As mentioned we will publicise your web-page and e-mail in our Summer newsletter which is due in one week's time. PLEASE COULD YOU HELP US by writing a brief paragraph about what the web-page is about and what your aims are, etc. , thus we could just cut & paste this straight into our newsletter.. this would be good.. I am sure we can work together and hopefully, in our humble ways, continue the spread of Sanathana Dharma, and the uplifting message of the Upanishads and spread knowledge of the lives of great Saints like Swami Vivekananda.... love & kind regards, milen.. ==============Message (5) from M M Sudan New Delhi === Thank you very much for your mail. I had visited your web site. I was very happy and impressed by your activities particularly activities for the School Children. In fact I had in mind to put a congratulation mail on your website but before that as it was destined I had your mail. I will be too happy to be brought on the mailing list. I am quite a busy professional lawyer therefore, I am unable to actively participate in activities here at New Delhi, during day time. I compensate myself with reading. I am a life r to Prabuddha Bharata, I hope through internet and E-mail I may be in a position to interact with other devotees. I have the good fortune of reading Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda. I am also greatly impressed by the writings of Swami Ranganathanandji particularly his book " Eternal Values in the Changing Society " I don't miss his lecture as and when held in New Delhi. ... I like your site a lot. I have just started a small BalaVihar class. The intent of the class is to tell the stories and teach a few slokas and more important - to tell them about Hinduism. I am interested in getting some teaching material from you. How would I do that?? You had mentioned about plays that you have done. I am assuming that the plays were done in English. I would like to get the material for atleast two plays in the beginning so that we can use that material to put up a play here with the Kids. I would like to hear from you either way and i just wanted to let you that it was a pleasure go through the site. Thanks, Rama ============= end+++ jay Vivekananda Centre London.
