Guest guest
Continuing on the theme of Astavakra Samhita In Verse 7 Astavakra says: You are the one seer of all and are really ever free. Verily this alone is your bondage that you see yourself not as the seer but as something other. Commentary: This is the uncompromising attitude of Advaita Vedanta. It states: " Your only bondage is that you see yourself as bound " . " Your only limitation is that you think you are limited " Highly potent stuff! Can we imagine what these phrases would do to a person on the brink of self-knowledge? For such a person these verses become sheer nectar. For the rest of us they appear as " good poetry " . jay
Guest guest
Dear Jay, The wonderful thing is that these clues are " out there " so that if/when we are on the brink of self-knowledge, the intuition received from them can be the shining light. But it is important to keep them available. Edith
