Guest guest
I know in Chinmaya Mission age is not important. For admitting into Sandeepanay sadhanaalaya it is different, qualifications of the students who can go through the rigour of the training is evaluated from all perspective including age. The purpose is to train a brahmachaari so that he can work full time to propagate the sanatana Dharma. Recognizing the need for the older people who want to retire and spend their remaining years in contemplation, Chinmya Mission has started Old-age homes - an ashram environment with a trianed Brahmachaari taking vedanat classes and also volunteers who can run the ashram along with the medical help needed for the old. There are few so far formed. I am not sure exactly how the are running. One buys a cottage there and live in the ashrama environment with strict discipline. There are lot of older people settled in Chinmayaranyam that is being done under H.H. Swamini Saradapriyanandaji about whome we heard from Shree Madhava. They do their share some voluntary work in the maintanence of the ashram and they have to live in the strict asharam life. There is one in Madras and one in Ranchi that I know off. Hari Om!
