Guest guest
I have requested Tim to see if he can continue on the theme of Astavakra with his own commentary. Meantime I send two more verses Chapter 15 verse 8 Have faith, my son, have faith. Never confuse yourself in this. Youare Knowledge itself, you are the Lord, you are the Self, and you are beyond Nature. Verse 9 The body, composed of the ingredients of nature, comes, stays and goes. The Self neither comes nor goes. Why then do you mourn it? jay
Guest guest
I would like to share Thomas Byrom's translations of Ch. 15, Verses 14 & 15, for comparison with Swami Nityaswarupananda's. Of course they are saying the same thing, but it is interesting to note the difference in expression: Verse 14 You are in whatever you see. You alone. Just as bracelets and banles And dancing anklets Are all of the same gold. Verse 15 " I am not this. " " I am He " Give up such distinctions. Know that everything is the Self. Rid yourself of all purpose. And be happy.
