Guest guest
Dear friends, One of my friends recently asked me: <<< God is everywhere but that the idea is that there will be no messiah, no redeemer until the world is perfected under God's kingdom through good deeds. >>> I replied: Yes, when the true seekers of the God exhaust themselves with intense spiritual devotion to meet (realize, experience, see) HIM; when people realize that the world cannot be perfected under God's kingdom through good deeds alone, then out of compassion and for the welfare of HIS devotees HE incarnates as a messiah or a redeemer, what we Indians call Avatara. As Lord Krishna says in the Gita, " O Arjuna, whenever there is threat to righteousness, whenever wickedness prevails, whenever the saints and sadhus (spiritual aspirants) are threatened with misinterpretation of dharma, I, WITH THE HELP OF MY MAYA, TAKE BIRTH ON THE EARTH. " Why? " To show the right path to my devotees and to remove the obstacles in their way by subduing the wicked. " It requires firm belief in these words to activate ourselves to become spiritual aspirants i.e. Bhaktas or devotees. It is, according to me, likely that HE comes only for the Bhaktas - devotees. It is the aspirations of many to know the truth that leads to the incarnation of the TRUTH as Avatara. The people can seek Him through different attitudes, viz. Yoga of devotion, Yoga of action, Yoga of Knowledge, or Yoga of meditation, either singly or any combination of these four. The national boundaries, caste, creed, race, and the religion should pose no problem (or obstacle) to attempt to seek HIM. dr c s shah -- ==================================== E-magazine on science and spirituality.
