Guest guest
Hello Everyone! Swami Yogeshananda Hari OM! re: Sat, 3 Jul 1999 20:42:26 EDT Vidya123 Swamiji's Mahasamadhi Vidya, dear Vidya, Thank you so very much for sharing that wonderful [July 4] posting with us. Sri Swami Vivekananda is still here. He is living inside all of us who remember and love him. When I think of the self-sacrifice of Swamiji's life, living and breathing for the salvation of others, a poem comes to mind. This was written by Leo Marks and was used by G.C. Violette Szabo, to decipher her codes, while working with the French Resistance during World War II. One of the four women to receive the George Cross, we may read a short biography of her tragically brief, yet inspiring life @ URL http://www.boulder.demon.co.uk/violette.htm Yours. The life that I have Is all that I have And the life that I have, Is yours. The love that I have, Of the life that I have, Is yours And yours And yours. A sleep I shall have, A rest I shall have, Yet death will be but a pause. For the peace of my years In the long green grass, Shall be yours And yours And yours. By visiting the page, mentioned above, one may also hear an audio stream of this poem, spoken by Violette's daughter, Tanya.
