Guest guest
All known circumstances and results of birth, presuppose an unknown before, and there is a suggestion of universality, a will of persistence of life, an inconclusiveness in death, which seems to point to an unknown hereafter. The intellect can hardly give the final answer: for that must, in its very nature, lie beyond, the data of the physical consciousness and memory, which the intellect is in the habit of consulting, with something like confidence. Moreover, the solution depends upon, the nature, source, and object of the cosmic movement, and, as we determine these, so we shall we conclude, about birth and life and death, the before and the hereafter.
