Guest guest
Greetings friends, I would like to express my gratitude for all your insights on my " psyche " questions. I would like to let you know that my friend called me today and apologized, saying that she was very ill and having a serious toxic reaction to some medicine at the time of my visit (she has some serious health problems). Had I known this, I would have been better able to understand. And we laughed at the drama, the Maya! While her issues are real for her, her manner of expression was far from her normal way. I got to hear from all of you, and search and strengthen my soul a bit, and she got to see she has a friend who can " be there " for better or worse. Jai Ma! I am also enjoying everyone's response on being a Hindu. It is very interesting for me, a Westerner, to learn about these things. I would like to pass on an entry from another very special mailing list - Quotations from the Mystics, a multi-traditional mailing with a commentary. This quote is from one of my favorite Christian Mystics, Pierre de Caussade. He wrote Abandonment to Divine Providence. My Guru called it " Surrender " and named it a number one discipline of spiritual life -- surrender to the god within everything at all times. With so much gratitude for this e-satsang, Karen Westend Ashram
