Guest guest
I was surprised why Tom was worked up by some of the postings from Jody. Now it has clicked - he was getting worked up by the word 'Master' being used for anyone else but Sri Ramakrishna. I understand his feelings - he has read the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna with such intensity that the word 'Master' brings to his mind no one else but Sri Ramakrishna. Bravo to him for his one pointed devotion. I am not worthy of commenting on:- What title one uses or reserves for 'Sri Ramakrishna' ? - Is there anyone on this list who knows what title would do justice to 'Sri Ramakrishna' ? Perhaps they can illumine the rest of us. jay
Guest guest
Why ? Is not the word, 'Thakur', especially used for Sri Raamakrishnaa? Again, it is a 'Bengali' word, meaning 'God'. The most appropriate one, I presume. It is also less likely to be used for other saints or incarnations of God, unless hailing from Bengal, I suppose! Even the word 'Paramahamsa' is used in relation to Sri Sri Yogananda of the Yogoda Satsang Society of India, as well.
