Guest guest
Following posting from Om Lala NAMASTE. On the 27th of Friday is the birthday anniversary of Zarathushtra (Zoroaster), the great founder of the Persian religion. Most of us do not know much about him or his teachings. But as I read them, I found them very appealing. Quotes from THUS SPAKE ZARATHUSHTRA. " Everyone is in search of the Beloved. Every place, whether tavern or temple, is the abode of love. " " Let the joy of living fill your heart to overflowing. " Live everyday as if it were your last so that, fully prepared for death, you may meet the end of your life with calm and placid face and with a smile upon your lips. " " Great indeed is the efficacy of prayer. It opens the gate of one’s inner temple to let Ahura Mazda (God) in. " " Nothing good and noble can be achieved in the world without honest labor and hard work. " " Greatness does not consist in all talk alone. Half a glorious deed is better than two hundred brave words. " " God’s music is to be found in the whispers of the breeze in the trees; in the murmuring of the flowing water in the brooks; in the chirping of the birds; and in the outpourings of the thoughts of an ardent devotee. " " Yesterday is beyond repair. Tomorrow may never come. Today alone is ours. Make the best use of it. " " Simple and straight forward is the language that Truth speaks. It shines in its innate simplicity. Never crooked and never zigzag, with no byways in which a traveler may lose himself, straight is the path of Truth. " " The source of Happiness is within man. The most happy is he who most promotes the Happiness of others. Real greatness lies in the pure and simple life. " -Zarathushtra I hope you have enjoyed some of the teachings of Zarathushtra. just to remind you, today is his Birthday anniversary -Om
