Guest guest
The Sermon on the Mount - 4 The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12) - Part 4 [ Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. To be merciful is one of the preconditions to realise God. This has a great calming effect on the mind. It is an order of nature that a few people are unfortunate. They are not lesser people. They are equally expressions of the Supreme as the fortunate ones. Just as being happy at the success of the fortunate ones is the right conduct, service is the right conduct to the unfortunate. [ Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Pure mind, by nature, reflects the God within and outside us. It is the mental impurities that block and distort our vision of God. A pure mind is all that is needed to see God. All spiritual practices are aimed at making the mind pure. God-realisation comes as a natural effect. -- ---------- Email: gomu Phone: +91 80 6634617 Webpages: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/1863 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Forum/2973 ----------
