Guest guest
Reminders for List Members: (1) The number of postings is increasing - if any member wishes to go on to the 'digest' mode they should contact me. (2) If for any reason your server rejects any of the messages from the list. 'One List computer has a habit of deleting your name from the list without letting anyone know. (3) The quality of posting coming through is excellent. Please try and send them as straight email. Avoid sending attachments (attachments carry the risk of virus). We certainly want to infect the list but the infection should be to 'Ramakrishna' rather than something called 'Melissa' (4) Posting: 100 verses on renunciation was well received - members from other lists who also got the postings said: =========== namastae! I happened to be one ,probably out of many more, enjoying these verses yet guilty of being silent. I apologize for not giving you the feedback. Please continue if you have spare time to do so. with sincere thanks, suprabha =============== Namaste: Please know that many are enjoying and meditating upon the verses that you are sharing. Thank you for taking the time to post them. I have passed on one that I find particularly important or relevant to other people that I know. The above verse I found particularly powerful and have been thinking of it often. Jai Sri Maa sincerely, Parvati ================= I want to thank Parvathiji and suprabhaji for acknowledging the usefulness of the verses posted. As a list moderator, I want to acknowledge and admire the enthusiasm of posting the verses from Astavakra and the verses from renunciation. The list is fortunate to witness the spirit and knowledge of Sri. Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda -- and the list members are grateful to his services. Posting articles in any mailing list to benefit the members of the list is an act of Karma Yoga and is a great opportunity to cultivate attitude to forgo the fruits of such actions. In reality, the reward comes without asking - posting an article is the best reward for the poster. Ram Chandran =============
Guest guest
Thanks Mr. Ram Chandran, for reminding us of the 'necessity' of renouncing the fruits of posting good articles on any e-mail server list, and the fact of such posting itself becoming a reward in and by itself. Thanks and kind regards. Guest guest
Thank you, Jay, for passing on the 100 Verses responses. They will be finished in about a week and I have been looking at the Avadhuta. It is quite long for short postings, but I shall do it if you'd like it done. If so, I would like to compare Swami Ashokananda's and Swami Chetanananda's translations... If there are so many other scriptural quotations going on that starting a complete book at this time might be heavy, I can quote verses from various scriptures that have caught my fancy enough to write down. Please let me know what you think. Best, Edith
