Ellam Ondre

Dear Swaminathan Venkata Raman,

I am immensely grateful to you for posting the 6 chapters of " Ellam

Ondre " .

 

I consider your posting of Ellam ondre as nothing short of a miracle of

Sri Bhagavan. Let me share one of my experiences with other members on

this list.

when I was in Hyderabad, I used to attend the satsangs of Sri Ramana

Kendram Hyderabad. All the devotees used to hear the lectures of

Dr.K.Subrahmanian(Popularly known as Dr.KS), the founder of the kendram,

as if they are from Sri Bhagavan. In the early days of my visits to the

kendram, I faced a serious personal problem. As I was not used to pray

Him for personal benefits, for more than a week I was in two minds

whether to pray Him or not, though the problem was to affect not only

myself but several others. I did not discuss this problem with any

body.After a week, one morining I received a post card from Dr. KS. with

only one line " Surrender is the best prayer " . Till that time I never

knew that Dr. KS occasionally sends post cards to the devotees of Sri

Bhagavan . When i mentioned this to one of the devotees , he informed

that Dr.KS posts these cards to devotees based upon impulses he gets in

the mid night or early in the morning. The messages were usually

llike " Grace is always flowing " or " If you think of HIm it is His Grace.

Even if you do not think of HIm it is also His Grace " .

I was surprised when a solution was found to my problem in his card

which, I thought, was nothing but communication of Sri Bhagavan " s

Grace.

 

My association with Dr.KS helped me immensely in putting Sri Bhagavan's

teachings in practice. But I was having some doubts in Karma yoga

with reference to the efforts of a sadhaka and the extent of freedom a

sadhaka enjoys in " Actions " . Though, I listened to some learned

gentlemen, my doubts were not cleared by their normal quotations from

the texts. Mr.Sankar, introducing me to onelist,and withina few days

your posting Of " Ellam Ondre " on the list happened as if Sri Bhagavan

was responding to my doubts. After going through the 6 chapters , my

doubts were cleared. I could understand some of the answers given by Sri

Bhagavan to the questions of some devotees in a much better perspective.

 

Will it be too much If i rquest for postings on RibhuGita and Navaneeta

kaivalyam?
