Guest guest
Firm faith in something gradually helps in gaining knowledge about that thing. A football player who has a firm faith that playing football will bring him name and fame, money and physical fitness, etc., gradually starts playing the game with more and more concentration, determination, and perseverance. While doing so he gets the knowledge about the ideal air pressure in the ball, size of the ground, rules of the game, nuances and subtleties of the play, other great players of the game of past and the present, etc. He also realizes his capabilities and the limitations. He tries to attain the perfection according to his adhikara or capacity. Afterwards the idea of enjoying the game only remains in his heart. He gets pleasure in every activity he undertakes connected with the game. He has done sadhana in the field and achieved the goal, so to say! Can we apply these facts to the field of spirituality? dr c s shah -- ==================================== E-magazine on science and spirituality.
