Excerpted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna p.703

The Master Said:

" A man freed from bondage is Shiva;

entangled in bondage, he is jiva "

Anurag Namaste !

Your were asking who is Krishnakore......well, he was somebody

that the Master USED to visit. I guess he stopped visiting

because Krishnakore didn't appreciate Thakur's betel-chewing

habits.

__________

Karen Namaste !

What a laugh ! I have been going crazy and driving everyone else

to distraction because people have been telling me that my

webpages are inaccessable. My browser works fine, but nobody

else's does.......Jay will tell you how upset I have been

over this....I was blaming Bill Gates, his uncle and also

his stepmother.....when all along, it was ME. Yes, ME again !

I thought I would do something smart [a couple of weeks ago] and inserted an

html code on the pages in order to have a nice border....well,

it looked fine on Internet Explorer 4.0....but no other

browser could view the pages.

Just a small scrap of HTML code....Oh, My, what a drag !

Would you like to see the culprit?

Here it is:

<center><table width=80% border=0>

This bone of contention has been thankfully removed, after two

weeks of head scratching, moaning and groaning.

Yes, Karen, That would be wonderful to read some of Thakur's

'earthy' comments....He was, after all, a man of the country;

not at all a city person; sort of a Bengali 'Mel Tillis'.

(of course, I am only joking, comparing the Master to Mel)

Didi you ever hear the joke about Mel (he shares the same

stammering problem as Thakur) ?

The announcer of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville was

frantic because Mel was late for his scheduled appearance.

Then someone told him that Mr. Tillis and gone next door

for a peck of pickled peppers....

Ho Ho !

Dear Unnamed One at omtatsat,

HTML can be frustrating! those non-standard " standards " ... etc.

Now I got to see your website and visited some of the links; very nice.

I looked at the Kali temple pictures -- I have been there once.

The jostling in front of Ma Kali is worthy of a street market,

but the peaceful feeling in Sri Ramakrishna's room is thick in the air.

I don't know Mel but I liked the joke :-) I forgot that the Master had

a stammer. I must have read it, but it has been a long time.
