Excerpted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna p.818

Wednesday, 8/9/99

The Master Said:

" All will surely realize God. All will be liberated.

It may be that some get their meal in the morning,

some at noon, and some in the evening,

but none will go without food.

All, without any exception,

will certainly know the real Self. "

Hari OM!

A little humour to lighten the day !

All this 'patting each other' on the back, has got me worried !

It reminds me of an ancient Greek saying: " Beware the pat on

the back, it could be a search for the right 'soft spot' for

the blade. "

Isn't that terribly cynical ? And yet, the Greek has been

successfuly engaged in trading for centuries, especially in

the near east.....as a matter of fact, a more astute

businessman would be hard to find.

Thanks Edith -- again, I was just passing on the rumours I heard!

It would be very interesting to see a translation with everything now that

we westerners have had more time to learn about eastern practices and

customs!
