Friday 10/9/99

 

The Master Said:

 

" You know I am a fool. I know nothing.

Then who is it that says all these things?

I say to the Divine Mother:

'O Mother, I am the machine and Thou art the Operator.

I am the house and Thou art the indweller.

I am the chariot and Thou art the Charioteer.

I do as Thou makest me do. I speak as Thou makest me speak;

I move as Thou makest me move. It is not I !

It is all Thou ! It is all Thou !'

Hers is the glory; we are only Her instruments. "

HTML can be frustrating! those non-standard " standards " ... etc.

 

Now I got to see your website and visited some of the links; very nice.

I looked at the Kali temple pictures -- I have been there once.

The jostling in front of Ma Kali is worthy of a street market,

but the peaceful feeling in Sri Ramakrishna's room is thick in the air.

 

I don't know Mel but I liked the joke :-) I forgot that the Master had

a stammer. I must have read it, but it has been a long time.

I am living in a small town on the island of Montreal.

I did live for a number of years in Toronto

and am well aware of the fabulous community work,

being accomplished by the Toronto Mission.

 

They have an excellent hospital volunteer service,

which is very much appreciated by the community at large.

 

We may visit their site @ URL http://www.total.net/~vedanta/home.htm.

 

Incidentally, I just tried to visit the URL and it brings

up a '404'...I am sure that this is only a temporary situation.

 

I envy you, Karen, to have actually visited Dakshineswar

and felt the presence of the Great Embodied Souls, that walked

those hallowed premises, over a hundred years ago.

This message is late in coming due to my schedule but

was necessary for me to complete and send it.

 

I just want to express my inordinate amount of gratitude to

Omtatsat for the lovely work he did with the

webpage (see below). I thank you so much for taking the time

and energy in presenting the truth, spoken by the various paths,

in such a beautiful way.

 

You are appreciated!

 

I also want to thank all on this list for being here and sharing.

I feel it is a bond that I have with the spiritual descendents

of the great Sri Sri Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Sri Vivekananda.

 

I pray I will have a closer, in person, contact soon as I am

trying to move from my isolation in Phoenix Arizona, USA to

California--which has Temples and Ramakrishna Missions.
