Guest guest
Friends, I have been reading/studying Swamiji all my life, and am pretty familiar with what he said. Will anyone who alleges that he said " The greatest realized persons were men " or anything like that, please come up with a direct citation where it can be found in his works. Yours, Yogeshananda

Although i did not request this initially, I second that request .....i would love to know where the Great Swami V said that... He has always come across as revering the Mother aspect of the human being to the utmost. It is through worshipping the female as Mother that any country will rise...and India sorely lacked in that ..and America for him exemplified that ...at least at the time. jairam ps...how are you Swami Yogeshanandaji... hope you still remember me...we last met at Hollywood in 1997 and before that at the Chidananda retreat in MD... pranaams to you Swamiji
Guest guest
Dear Swami Y and all, I regret mentioning this because I cannot point to a reference, nor can I trust my memory 100%, this being a long time ago. My real point was that it doesn't matter to me in my devotion and reverence for Swami V. However, I have unwittingly opened this can! My apologies to all, I should be happy to think that all atrribute this to my lack of memory (which has never been great!) Swami Y, after this, I did go and look through Vol 9 of his Complete Works and found some very complimentary statements. Somewhere we used to have volumes 1-8... where I cannot remember!!!! There goes that memory again!
