Guest guest
Work of the The Vivekananda Centre in England. To keep you posted:- We have an important celebration taking place at Harrow High School in London on Saturday 20th November. Many of the senior personnel involved with Religious Education in this country will be present. The children and parents of the Vivekananda Centre will perform a few short plays. We will give out trophies to all who did well in the recent GCSE and Advanced level examination on Hinduism. By the grace of Sri Ramakrishna, Vivekananda Centre in London is able to put across the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna to many youngsters in this country. I am regularly invited to address large number of youngsters from many faiths. Sometimes I talk to 800 or more at a time. We are also involved in many seminars for Religious Education teachers. We had produced a series of talks on Hinduism for BBC World Service earlier on. They are now planning a second series. After a session with a school when we get a message like this we feel that all this is worthwhile. ---------mesg from school in South London-------- Hello Jay I just wanted to say thank you for your talk today and to let you know that the children really did enjoy themselves. After you left my classroom they requested a meditation session - so we had five minutes of peace and tranquillity just before hometime! I think the children will be really motivated now to finish their projects and I was pleased that they asked such thoughtful questions after your talk.
