Guest guest
~~~~~~om shanthi om ~~~~~~ Excerpted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna p.133 Sunday 7/11/99 The Master Said: " Bhaktas accept all states of consciousness. They take the waking state to be real also. They don't think the world to be illusory, like a dream. They say that the universe is a manifestation of God's power and glory. God has created all these - sky, stars, moon, sun, mountains, ocean, men, animals. They constitute His glory. He is within us, in our hearts. Again, He is outside. The most advanced devotees say that He Himself has become all this - the twenty-four cosmic principles, the universe. and all living beings. The devotee of God wants to eat sugar, not to become sugar. This last comment brought forth laughter among the devotees om tat sat ~~~~~~om shanthi om ~~~~~~ Extrait du Gospel de Sri Ramakrishna p.133 Dimanche 7/11/99 Le Maître Dit: " Les Bhaktas admettre tous les états de conscience. Ils prennent également l'état de réveil pour être vrais . Ils ne pensent pas le monde pour être illusoires, comme un rêve. Ils disent que l'univers est une manifestation de la puissance et de la gloire de Dieu. Dieu a créé le tout ceux-ci - ciel, étoiles, lune, le soleil, les montagnes, l'océan, les hommes, les animaux. Ils constituent sa gloire. Il est chez nous, à nos coeurs. Encore, il est dehors. Les passionnés les plus avançés disent qu'il lui-même est devenu tout ceci - les vingt-quatre principes cosmiques, l'univers et tous êtres vivants. I would also like to confine my comments to India and not venture into the Church's past record outside India. 1. We consider everybody in India to be Hindus. We only have to read the story of Kannappa Nayanar, who belonged to one of the " outcastes " mentioned and is now worshipped as one among the 63 Nayanars or Saivite saints. 2. What is the logic for the church in India to ask for reservations (India's equivalent of affirmative action for blacks in the US) for " low caste christians " ? Does the term " low caste christian " have any meaning? 3. I have personally come across the use of economic incentives like job in a missionary run school , free/subsidised education for children etc being offered to poor families if they convert and only if they convert. Is this the way of Christ? Please, I am not trying to run a political campaign here, nor am I trying to paint all christians with the same brush. But I have had a few unpleasant personal experiences with missionaries in India as a boy. How, for instance, would you feel if, in the name of " exposing the superstition that is Hindusim " , you come across a pamphlet from Christian missionaries, where they plan to give a lecture on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, before which they would do pooja to a coconut and break Ganesha idols before it? However, I can tell you one thing, my dear brother in TapasyA, when Hindus are destitute, without food and lodging, here in Canada, they head for the nearest Christian Church. So, no matter what anyone says, we cannot deny the fact that:... Christian missionaries in India must acknowledge this and give up their feeling of superiority over " heathen hindus " , which leads them to say that those who dont tread the path of Jesus will " suffer eternal damnation in hell " . By the way, on the brighter side, I recently saw a photograph from a friend of mine in Canada showing a quote outside a church. It said " As you are, so is the world " - Sri Ramana Maharshi Swami >om shanthi om > > >____ >123India - India's Premier Search Engine >Get your Free Email Account at http://www.123india.com > > > >------ >Sri Ramakrishnaye Namah >Vivekananda Centre London >http://www.btinternet.com/~vivekananda/ ><< text3.html >>
Guest guest
R we having a discussion abt Lord's or our mentality. Nothin would be more foolish to think that Jesus Christ is different frm RamaKrishan Paramhansa n vice versa. When some form in scriptures says that he is the only Lord then that means one is referring to that almighty one. We like fools get attached to that form n think that form is lord n start attacking other religions. Guest guest
tom i guess the one who is hungry doesn't think that he going to have food frm a christian, church, sage, temple, Gurudwara or Mosque. He respect n love them for they helped them in need. They respect n honour their love. Love is God n God is love. I remember some time back a story was posted abt a woman na liitle boy. liitle boy left home in search for lord. He saw that lady went close to her she gave him a divine smile n boy offered her food. They spent some time with each other n boy went back rushing to her mother to tell her that he found God today n woman was happy that Lord came to feed her. Can someone post that story again i want to keep it in store.
