Guest guest
I am translating one article which talks abt Animal Sacrifice. Society is responding to Mantra n Tantra but still even the mention of name Tantra evelopes one with fear. Tantra is all pious knowledge n path just that in these past times Some impurities has got in to Tantra Sadhana. Some greedy n selfish people of society have tempered with the definition of Tantra n has given it an image according to their liking. N due to all this the glorious facet of Indian Knowledge, Tantra, has become a subject of all hate. Even today people are afraid n suffer due to these impurities in Tantra. It's has become a necessity to change the traditional methods of Tantra. Change n Newness r the laws of Nature. <snip> There is no need to be afraid of Tantra or Sadhana n to hate it rather the need is to undertand the real meaning of Tantra n to move ahead on this path with all energy. Most of the people link Tantra to Vamchaar, Animal sacrifice and Human Sacrifice. But they don't look in to real meaning of wat Sacrifice means in Tantra. The tradition of Animal Sacrifice is mostly prevalent among village people to make God of Village, KulDevtaa , or Ishtaa Devtaa happy. Also many ozhaa, Baigaa and tantrik follow the tradition of Animal Sacrifice (bali). But this fools n fake ones dpesn't know that to sacrifice means to sacrifice of their Ego, sacrifice of their Animal behaviour. Instead they indulge themselves in the Sacrifice of Buffalo or other Animals. When one sacrifices one's ego it's ony then that the lord showers blessings on one. Tantra or Sadhana paths r all pious paths which can only be attained through purification of self. There is no place for Meat, Alcohol, or Sex in it. Rather one gets success in these sadhnas only when one sacrifices one's mental distortions, all kind of desires, Anger, Greed and Ego. Only this is the sacrifice which a Sadhaka should make. It is a good piece of information on this practice and explains the inner meaning of the practice well. I don't know why they didn't include this appendix in the unabridged version of the Gospel. They should have. It sheds light on this practice in the RIGHT context, thus eliminating the " taboo " . Course there will always be those who will distort this practice I suppose...
