Thank you for replying and /or giving some feedback to my request. I'm not

sure if I have explained myself very well. It is not a case of how you 'sell'

Hinduism to the West that I am researching but more a matter of what you have to

change in order to follow Hinduism in the West. For instance, is there any

'ingredient' that you need for celebration or ritual that you cannot get here -

if so what do you substitute? Or is there anything that you cannot do here

which you would do in, say, India? What do you do instead? etc. Thanks.

suggest.

You may get direct replies - if after a few days you still do not get

any reply then please email me and I will try and help you a little (this is not

my specialist subject) - I can help more with concepts of philosophy rather

than rituals!

Spirir of Life Art Project

 

 

I am in the process of doing a graphic design project on the

following: a book to show how religious festivals or artifacts are adapted to

make celebrations possible in another environment away from the traditional one.

 

I have started with Hinduism and am having a great deal of trouble

finding out about this as all the books I have read so far have not mentioned

any differences or adaptations. Please can you help with some information or

point me in the right direction.
